Autumn Equinox

Autumn Equinox Wisdom thanks to Tarot.

The cooler months ahead are a wonderful time for snuggling with loved ones, cooking wholesome foods, giving thanks for the bounty and beauty of summer and for looking within.

I love utilising the guidance offered by Tarot to do this, marking the turning of the Wheel of the Year, but how and what am I actually asking of the cards?

Firstly I want to look at where I would benefit from letting certain things go… what it is I need to release?  (8 of Cups was drawn) What is holding me in its not so comforting grasp and not allowing me to simply be?  Where have I been applying my energy in an act of optimistic futility?

How can I best nurture myself in the cooler months? (King of Pentacles was drawn) Focusing on what really matters to me, seeing where I have grown and seen success in the past and either simply acknowledging or building upon these successes towards a brighter future for myself and for those coming behind me.

What is stirring beneath the surface of my conscious mind, getting ready to bloom into life? (The Chariot) New goals, new destinations and adventures await me.  But they require my focus, my attention and dedication in order to become reality.  If my focus is not apparent then all those beautiful shiny objects will continue to distract me from my purpose, and though what is meant for me will never pass me by, my inattention will cause delays in its arrival.

Allowing myself the time and space to release what no longer serves me, the courage to nurture myself as I deserve, the stillness to look within at what is growing, will create the fertile grounds for new growth in the spring.  (The High Priestess was drawn). Reconnecting with nature, with the ebb and flow of the natural rhythms of the passing seasons and Mumma Earth will help me to connect more fully with my intuitive wisdom, with Spirit, with All That Is.

Autumn Equinox Tarot Spread

What would benefit you to release at this time?  What have you outgrown or what do you carry that does not belong to you?  Maybe an outdated habit, or the creative art of worrying about everyone else so you don’t have to look into your own basket of wonderful-ness?

How can you best nurture yourself?  Parenting yourself as you always wished you had been parented is a good place to start, that little child you once were still lives within your heart, go give her a great big hug and remind her how wonderful, how strong, how smart and how beautiful she is.

What magic is stirring below the awareness of your conscious mind?  The solution you seek is always within you, whether the answer is giving you directions to someone who can help you further or the knowledge in its entirety, go to your sacred space and allow it show itself.

Now that you have weeded your garden (released what no longer serves you), fertilised your flower bed (nurtured your beautiful being) and checked the health of your soil, what is getting ready below the surface to bounce forth in the coming spring?

Autumn is a magical time of gratitude, release and preparation, and truthfully is there a more beautiful harvest and garden to tend to then your own magical being?  The energetic ripples of the care you gift yourself are felt way beyond your physical being, beautiful soul, so sing your healing song and let it be heard and felt by those near and far.

Try the spread for yourself using your favourite cards, they can be either tarot or oracle, depending upon which you favour or feels right for you or you can book in with me to receive a reading.
