The Sagittarius Full Moon & Returning to What is True

Some moon phases feel gentle, reflective, maybe even soft.

And then there are moon phases like this one.

Sundays Sagittarius (and not to forget May’s Blue Moon) carries a very different energy.

This is not a moon supporting us to play small.  This is not a moon that quietly whispers, anything.

This moon illuminates.  It expands us.  It reveals to us.

And for many people, this may feel deeply emotional.

Sagittarius energy has a way of exposing the places where we have outgrown old versions of ourselves.

The places where we have been settling.  The places where fear has become louder than trust.  The places where we have disconnected from possibility.

Sagittarius is the seeker.  The truth-teller.  The explorer.  The energy that longs for meaning, expansion, freedom, wisdom and growth.

And under the influence of this full moon’s energy, many may feel an internal pull toward something more.

More honesty.  More alignment.  More authenticity.  More freedom.  More connection to themselves.

This moon asks:

What truth can you no longer ignore?

Not in a dramatic or fearful way.  But in a deeply clarifying way.

Personal growth is not all about becoming someone entirely different.  Growth is more like returning to who you truly are.  Underneath the fear, the exhaustion, the self-doubt, the survival mode you convinced yourself you needed to shrink into just to get by.

This full moon may bring emotions to the surface around:

·       Relationships

·       Purpose

·       Burnout

·       Emotional exhaustion

·       People pleasing

·       Limiting beliefs

·       Lack of self trust

·       The fear of taking up space

·       Uncertainty about the future

And while that can feel uncomfortable, it is also incredibly important.

Awareness creates choice.

You cannot shift what you refuse to acknowledge.

The Sagittarius full moon invites us to become honest about where our energy is being drained and where our soul is craving expansion.

One of the most practical and supportive ways to work with this moon is to slow down long enough to truly listen to you.

Not the noise.  Not social media.  Not the opinions of Tom, Dick or Harry.

You.

Because deep down, most people already know what is no longer aligned.

They simply do not always trust themselves enough to honour it.

This is why self-development work (also known as “the work”) is so very important.

True transformation is not built on perfection.  It is built through awareness, or more precisely self-awareness.  Self-honesty.  Self-trust.

And self-trust is strengthened every time we choose alignment over self-abandonment.

Every time we stop dismissing our intuition.  Every time we stop forcing ourselves into spaces that no longer fit.  Every time we take one small step toward the life we actually want.

The Sagittarius full moon is no asking you to have your entire future figured out.

It is simply asking:

Are you willing to stop pretending that the life your soul desires does not matter?

This moon also carries the strong energy of hope.

Sagittarius reminds us that there is still a lot of life left available to us.

More joy.  More possibility.  More connection.  More freedom.  More purpose.

Especially if you have been moving through a season of heaviness, emotional fatigue, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

This is beautiful energy for:

·       Journalling

·       Vision setting

·       Releasing limiting beliefs

·       Tarot reflection

·       Nervous system support

·       Reconnecting to personal truth

·       Emotional clarity

·       Spiritual practices grounded in intention.

The key here is balance.

Spirituality without grounding can become escapism.  But practical action without emotional connection becomes burnout.

This lunar energy invites both.

Reflection and action.  Intuition and responsibility.  Dreaming and grounded movement.

You do not need to change your life overnight.

But perhaps there is one honest conversation that needs to happen.  One boundary that needs to be set or strengthened.  One dream that deserves more attention.  One belief about yourself that is ready to be challenged.

The moon illuminates.  But it is still our responsibility to choose what we do with what we see.

So under this Sagittarius Moon, allow yourself to ask:

·       Where have I outgrown my current reality?

·       What truth have I been avoiding?

·       What would expansion look like for me?

·       Where am I being invited to trust myself more deeply?

·       What small aligned step can I take next?

You do not need to force your unfolding.

But you are allowed to stop resisting it.

Sagittarius Full Moon Ritual

Expansion, Truth & Self-Trust

This ritual is designed to help release emotional heaviness while reconnecting clarity, intuition and possibility.

You will need:

·       1 deep red candle

·       Clear quartz crystal for clarity and amplification

·       Carnelian crystal for courage and empowerment

·       Mugwort or rosemary herbs for intuition and cleansing

·       A journal

·       A fireproof bowl

Why the candle colour matters.

Deep red tones connect beautifully with grounded empowerment, emotional courage, life force energy and personal truth.

Unlike brighter red tones associated with urgent or intensity, deep red carries warmth, wisdom, maturity, emotional depth and safe transformation.

Ritual Steps

1.       Cleanse your space gently using the smoke from your mugwort or rosemary herbs.

2.       Light your candle and take several slow breaths, using your candles flame as a point of focus.

3.       Hold your crystals and ask yourself:

·       What truth am I ready to honour?

·       What am I ready to release?

·       What part of myself is asking for expansion?

4.       Write down:

·       Limiting beliefs

·       Fears

·       Emotional patterns

·       Habits or situations you are ready to outgrow

5.       Place the paper into the fireproof bowl set it alight, releasing your written words to the Divine, and say:

“I release what no longer aligns with or serves who I am becoming.”

6.       Spend a few quiet moment visualising the version of yourself that feels most aligned, grounded, free, and emotionally connected.

7.       Close the ritual with gratitude.

Remember the goal is not perfection.  The goal is honest reconnection.
