Sacred space

What does ‘sacred space’ mean for you?

Do images of temples or churches come to mind?

Maybe beautiful areas within nature that seem to have an almost mystical sense of peace or calm?

The whisper of the ocean or river meandering along its path?

Is it somewhere external to you or somewhere that you can retreat to whenever you desire internally?

Wherever it may be, whatever it may look like for you, this is a place where you can simply be…

Somewhere that you can return to and release your worries and concerns, connecting with the divine within.

In my home I have several areas that hold small mementos, reminding me to reconnect with my sacred self, to give thanks for the support, love and guidance always readily available for me.

My go to though, is the sacred space I have created within.

Whenever I meditate I gravitate to this place of calm, of peace, and allow it to wash away my stresses, connecting me with all that is, all that has ever been or will be.

Here I can rest and rejuvenate.

Here I can reconnect with myself and the divine.

Here I can simply be… without judgment, without concern.

Here I can allow my thoughts to settle and the solutions I seek to rise to the surface of my consciousness

This sacred space is available to me wherever I may be in the world, at any given time.

Here I can find moments of peace, moments of tranquility.
